The famous Hollywood actor who is also the co-founder of Water.org, Matt Damon, accompanied by the CEO of Water.org, Gary White, went to villages in Batang and Kendal Regencies, Central Java, on July 3-5 2018.

Based on information in a press release received by Solopos - Suara.com network, Monday (9/7/2018), they saw firsthand the progress of the Water.org program in Indonesia.

They visited Water.org's partner microfinance institutions and water service providers and experienced the direct positive impact of the people who benefited from the program.
The visit began on July 3 at the Mitra Dhuafa (Komida) Cooperative Headquarters in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta.
Komida is one of Water.org Indonesia's first partners to have 230 branches from Aceh in the West to Timor Island in Eastern Indonesia and 502,000 clients, 100 percent of whom are women.
To date, Komida has distributed water and sanitation loans to 18,588 clients and has impacted the lives of 69,173 people.
Gary White and Matt Damon spent their second day in Indonesia visiting Batang Regency in Central Java.
