The Rise of International Schools in Malaysia

International schools are like a trend that has only been gaining more and more traction over the years. While initially, the schools were few and far spread they have become the most in-demand type of school that parents are consistently choosing for their offspring. The international school system lets children have a broad and balanced holistic approach and atmosphere of instruction. It not only allows more doors of opportunity to open for the students but also gives them free rein over the many choices they may have for future pursuits.

Demand for International Schools in Malaysia

Malaysia has over 171 English medium International Schools and is already prepared and ready to launch more of these institutions. The sum total of the international schools has seemingly skyrocketed by 75 % over the past 5 years and the number of admissions has increased by 87 %. The Government of Malaysia is looking to expand the income of the nation and benefit its economy. To this effort, it has realized that raising and providing education to talented and proficient foreigners or ex-pats by the means of international education is the best way to do so. This has majorly contributed to the rise in demand for international schools in Malaysia. A lot of Malaysian citizens have also begun enrolling their children in Malaysian schools, in fact, it has been seen that almost 50 % of the student population at international schools is made up of Malaysian locals. Due to this schools have even begun increasing the number of campuses they have in the country to keep up with the spiraling demand.

Now the process of starting up a new international school is no simple feat. It is a long process with numerous things to be contemplated. With so many new schools popping up it is important to be able to discern the real thing from the fake. To better explain the concept; it is necessary to find out whether the school you are choosing is an establishment that actually makes good on its promises of quality experience of education, or whether it is a pretend establishment that cannot deliver the quality or element of superiority that an international school assures.

How to choose the right school for your child?

In order to ensure that the school you are considering is the right one for your child, you must look into the vision, mission, and aims of the school. Check whether the morals and ethics that the school imparts are the ones that you want your child to stand by for the rest of their lives. The admission fees structure and financial aid that the schools provide is also a vital part of the selection process since it should be with the budget that you have set aside. Most international schools in Malaysia have a fee of approximately 100,000 dollars including all the educational levels. The fee structure varies from school to school depending on the facilities, amenities, and curriculum that the school provides.

In summary, an international school is a wise choice preferred by parents around the globe and is one that could change the face of education for your child as well.
